Ennio Miranda-Jeon is a 4th-grade student at a public school in Brooklyn, NY. His love for art and comic books inspired him to create his own comic book series, Ground Teeth. Growing up in a creative household, Ennio honed his artistic talents with the support of his mom, Kyung, a fine artist whose work has been exhibited internationally. His dad, Edgardo, is the creator and writer of the graphic novel series La Borinqueña, which features an Afro-Puerto Rican superhero championing for social justice. Inspired by his family’s artistic legacy and his boundless imagination, Ennio has brought Ground Teeth to life in its debut volume. Today, they are excited to share a reading from Ground Teeth, Volume 1, and offer a glimpse into the creative journey behind his work.
